Kiev (dpa) — A group of Russian firefighters was injured in a Ukrainian drone attack in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk region, according to Moscow.
The eight men were on their way to extinguish a fire near the city of Horlivka when they came under attack from the combat drones, Russian state news agency TASS reported citing the civil protection agency in Moscow.
The men, while injured, managed to seek shelter in their emergency vehicle, it said.
It was not possible to independently verify the claim. Ukraine has so far not commented on the reports.
Donetsk is one of the four Ukrainian mainland territories illegally annexed by Russia during the full-scale invasion launched on February 24, 2022.
