Kiev (dpa) — Several people have been killed and injured in a series of Russian attacks on Ukrainian regions, authorities said late on Saturday.

At least two people were killed in the Dnipro region and two others were injured when Russian forces attacked with artillery and aerial bombs, the regional military administrator, Olexander Hanzha, said on Telegram.

In the major eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, a 68-year-old man was killed by a drone, according to the authorities, whilst a 46-year-old woman was seriously injured in the explosion of an attack drone.

In the evening, several people were injured in Russian attacks on the eastern Ukrainian town of Pavlohrad.

Hanzha reported on Telegram that nine people had been injured, including four children aged between three months and six years. It was not initially possible to independently verify these figures.

Russia has been waging war against Ukraine for almost four and a half years. Recently, the Russian armed forces have been attacking predominantly civilian targets in the neighbouring country.
